At 02:35 on Saturday, 2 February, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

No fire service action required. One male out of the water and in care of police
