At 12:35 on Sunday, 26 May, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Lifting & animal harnesses, straps

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

1 car and horse box involved in RTC. Horse being treated by Vet and specialist animal rescue team from Wellington. Efforts being made to transfer horse into another trailer and then crews making vehicle safe.
