At 15:16 on Tuesday, 23 July, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Church Lane Whixall.

2 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Prees and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

100% of agricultural building of steel construction, approximately 60m x 20m, involved in fire. 1 hose reel jet and 1 main jet in use to extinguish fire.
