At 01:13 on Friday, 23 August, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

One saloon vehicle on fire, one hose reel jet in use. Police also requested to attend.
