At 21:44 on Sunday, 1 September, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Rubbish Bin.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Wheelie bin on fire caused by discarded BBQ coal. Fire crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish fire which was partially extinguished prior to arrival
