At 17:18 on Wednesday, 11 September, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving approximately 100 tonnes of straw. Crews using hose reel jets to extinguish.
