At 23:13 on Wednesday, 18 December, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Worthen.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley.

Chimney fire above a log burner, found to be out upon the arrival of the fire service. Log burner was removed and checks made by Fire Service personnel that fire was fully extinguished using a hearth kit and thermal imaging camera.
