At 07:22 on Sunday, 9 February, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Electricity Cable in Ford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

This incident involved damaged power cables caused by a large tree falling onto the power line. Approximately 100m of cable have been effected. Fire Service have cordoned the area off and advised residents to stay indoors until the arrival of Western Power.
