At 21:48 on Thursday, 1 October, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

One commercial van 100% destroyed by fire.
