North Shropshire Crucial Crew

North Shropshire Crucial Crew is an annual event which consists of various scenarios, which are local school children aged 10 - 11 years (Year 6) attend. This is felt to be the most appropriate age, as it is the time when they are becoming more independent and having to cope on their own.

The children go around the scenarios in small groups and at each scenario they enjoy an interactive presentation by an appropriate agency. The children are advised on the most suitable course of action on how to respond to particular problems should they arise.

The scenarios include being aware of personal safety, how to react to potentially dangerous situations, stranger danger, alcohol, drugs, smoking, road safety, crime prevention, avoid becoming the victim of crime, bullying, being aware of the Emergency Services and to foster and engender good citizenship.

Unfortunately this event is not open to the general public.
