At 15:45 on Thursday, 10 March, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Kitchen Fire in Shrewsbury.
2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Kitchen fire involving cooking left on hob. One fire blanket used to extinguish fire prior to Fire Service personnel arrival.

Kitchen fire involving a build up of fat from an oven. Fire was found to be out upon arrival. 1 male casualty suffering slight smoke inhalation given oxygen therapy by Fire Service personnel.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Short extension ladder
- Thermal imaging camera
Call received to reports of a kitchen on fire. Fire was out on arrival and crews are making precautionary checks using thermal image camera
