At 20:27 on Friday, 7 January, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Car fire, 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet in use, Police and Fire Investigation mobilised due to doubtful origin.
