At 07:48 on Tuesday, 18 January, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire Commercial in Shrewsbury.

7 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Hodnet, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet

Fire involving 2 storey brick building. Building approximately 20 m x 50 m fully involved in fire. 2 main jets in use to extinguish fire. Aerial ladder platform and water bowsers in attendance to assist with firefighting operations.
