At 07:01 on Wednesday, 16 March, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Newport.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Assistance over the border to Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service. 1 chiller unit on the exterior of the building extinguished prior to Fire Service arrival. Crews damping down using 1 hose reel jet.
