At 13:55 on Wednesday, 23 March, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

This incident involved a small wood chipping pallets fire which had spread to the hedge row underlay. Dampened down by attending fire service personnel using hosereel jet and drag rakes.
