At 12:34 on Thursday, 14 April, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Reports of a fire in the open which was found to be a length of hedgerow approx 80 square metres alight. Crews extinguished using 2 hosereel jets and used a thermal image camera to check for hotspots.
