At 20:22 on Monday, 18 April, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Gobowen.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a controlled burn of large quantity of logs, trees and timber which spread to a tractor and two further log containers.
