At 14;37 on Sunday, 10 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Wem.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Incident involved half an acre of straw. Fire crews used one extended hose reel, one misting lance and beaters.
