At 08:28 on Saturday, 23 July, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

2 cows reported being stuck in a canal, found to have exited of their own accord upon the arrival of crew investigating on foot. Owner now present. No Fire Service action required.
