At 07:23 on Saturday, 6 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Much Wenlock.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Much Wenlock and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident involved a 10 month old male cow that was stuck in a water tank. He was successfully released by fire service personnel and left in the care of the farmer.
