At 04:44 on Sunday, 7 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Knapsacks

This incident involved the burning of waste at the rear of Underdale Road alongside the River. Crews extinguished using knapsack and buckets of water due to the close proximity of trees. Advice given to person in attendance.
