At 14:17 on Tuesday, 9 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton .

2 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton and Cleobury Mortimer.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Axes/Hammers/Crowbars/Croppers
• Hosereel jet
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

Fire involving approximately 10msq gorse grass and undergrowth. Two hose reel jets, pick axe and shovels used to extinguish.
