At 18:45 on Thursday, 11 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wem.

2 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Hodnet, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear

Small fire involving wasps nest and small amount of roofing felt in roof cavity caused by blow torch
