At 09:15 on Saturday, 13 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

50m x 30m of hedgerow which spread to edge of field. 4 Hose reel jets were used to extinguished the fire.
