At 14:02 on Saturday, 13 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

This incident involved an area of scrubbland measuring approximately 30m x 30m, timber and building materials due to burning of waste getting out of control. An appliance from Staffordshire and West Midlands Fire Service was also in attendance
