At 14:08 on Saturday, 13 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

This incident involved approximately 2 acres of field land and 20 large bales.
