At 15:28 on Saturday, 13 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Newport.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

This incident involved an area of grassland measuring approximately 200m x 200m and one hay baler. One male casualty in the care of the ambulance service
