At 08:48 on Sunday, 14 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved an area of deep seated peat measuring approximately 60m x 60m
