At 14:26 on Sunday, 14 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

This incident involved an area of grass measuring approximately 20m x 20m which was extinguished by fire service personnel using one extended hosereel jet. Sleap airfield appliance was also in attendance.
