At 20:32 on Wednesday, 17 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Market Drayton.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

This incident involved a large quantity of refuse and timber in a storage yard. Fire service personnel used a high pressure hosereel jet to reduce the fire to an acceptable level for the responsible person in attendance to monitor.
