At 16:36 on Friday, 19 August, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shifnal.

1 fire appliance including the Incident Support Unit was mobilised from Newport and Tweedale.

Reports of fire in the open which involved approximately 40 square metres of grass alight and slight damage to telegraph pole. Fire crews used 1 hose reel jet
