At 11:11 on Friday, 2 September, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Alkington, Whitchurch .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire involving muck heap measuring approximately 10x5m. One hose reel jet and drag rakes used to extinguish.
