At 14:07 on Sunday, 9 October, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Kitchen Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a microwave oven which was extinguished using a fire blanket prior to the arrival of fire service personnel.
