At 18:57 on Saturday, 7 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a fire in the flue of a log burner. Crews used chimney rods to clear flue, and thermal imaging camera to check temperatures. Advice given to the occupier.
