At 05:50 on Sunday, 15 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Knapsacks

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

This incident involved a scooter in the children's play park which was extinguished by fire service personnel using buckets of water and a knapsack. Police attendance was requested due to malicious ignition of the scooter.
