At 18:44 on Tuesday, 31 January, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Reports of burning of sofa in back garden which proved to be a controlled burn. Fire crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish fire and advice given to occupier
