At 11:23 on Friday, 17 February, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

1 small fire in kitchen out on arrival. Fire caused by leak above lighting. Electrics tripped and fire alarm working as it should. Full investigation carried out using thermal imaging camera proving all is safe.
