At 20:30 on Tuesday, 21 February, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Newport. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This was a false alarm.
