At 14:40 on Friday, 28 April, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Cross Houses.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving plastic contents of one refuse lorry. Fire Crews used 2 hose reel jets, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 short extension ladder, thermal image camera and environmental grab pack
