At 21:48 on Tuesday, 2 May, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews released two cows from mud using animal rescue equipment and farmers manitou.
