At 15:25 on Monday, 7 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Door opener
• Hosereel jet

Small fire involving unattended cooking materials in ground floor kitchen of a domestic dwelling. Two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one covering jet used to extinguish. Crews used positive power ventilation to clear smoke logging.
