Field Of Straw

At 20:43 on Sunday, 13 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Telford.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

Approximately 250 hay bales alight, crews are protecting surrounding areas and continuing to dampen down.
