At 15:33 on Thursday, 24 August, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Stourbridge.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

2 appliances from Bridgnorth and 1 appliance from over the border (Staffordshire and West Midlands) were mobilised after receiving a call that a large field was on fire. Crews extinguished fire and dampened down surrounding area.
