At 07:14 on Thursday, 28 September, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Bridgnorth.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Cleobury Mortimer. A Fire Investigation officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Fire involving 80 tonnes of timber, this has been separated into small piles by fire service personnel.
