At 14:47 on Tuesday, 17 October, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Broseley.

4 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks
• Thermal imaging camera

Small bonfire in corner of barn
