At 17:56 on Saturday, 2 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Church Stretton.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Church Stretton and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was found to be a false alarm with good intent due to fumes from cooking. Fire service personnel have ventilated the property.
