At 16:30 on Saturday, 16 December, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Telford.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Telford Central.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

This incident was found to be a false alarm due to a faulty beam detector, fire service personnel have completed a thorough check with no heat detected.
