At 18:53 on Friday, 5 January, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Hodnet.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Thermal imaging camera

Chimney fire in open fireplace which was out on arrival of crews. Full investigation carried out using thermal imaging camera and chimney rods. Advice given to occupiers.
