At 14:19 on Tuesday, 9 April, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Newport Road, Cosford .

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Albrighton.

Call to car on fire which was found to be a false alarm caused by the car overheating. Fire crew cooled the engine and administered first aid to the cut hand of the driver.
