At 09:07 on Friday, 3 May, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shifnal.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Smoke alarm activated due to a washing machine overheating. Fire crews isolated and removed the appliance.
